Joseph Incaprera - Executive Producer

Joseph Incaprera is an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Producer Guild Award nominated producer. In addition to AMC’s The Walking Dead, Incaprera’s producing credits include Tell Me Your Secrets; The First, starring Sean Penn and created by Beau Willimon; Season One of 13 Reasons Why; Quarry; The Messengers; and Season Three of American Horror Story: Coven, which was nominated for Outstanding Mini-Series by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards. Incaprera was a shared recipient of the Golden Globe nomination, as well as an Emmy nomination and Producers Guild Award nomination for his work on the series. Prior to joining the American Horror Story team, he completed a four season run as Producer/UPM on HBO’s Peabody Award-winning and Emmy nominated series Treme. Incapera also worked as the Unit Production Manager for two seasons of HBO’s The Wire. Before advancing to producing and production management, Incaprera worked for more than a decade as an assistant director on numerous feature films and television series including three seasons on The Wire, as well as Live Free Die Hard, Hannibal, Minority Report, Shot in the Heart, The West Wing, The District, The Replacements, Gods and Generals, K Street, Blair Witch 2, Pecker, and four seasons of Homicide: Life on the Street. He was also employed by HBO as a consultant for the mini-series Show Me a Hero and the Emmy Award winning series Generation Kill. As a member of the assistant director team for Something the Lord Made, Incparera was a shared recipient of the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in 2004. The film also won the Emmy for Best Made for TV Movie that year. Incaprera currently lives in the Garden District in New Orleans, Louisiana with his family and has been married for 20 years to Catharine Incaprera, who also works in the film industry as a costume supervisor. Incaprera graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland in 1992 and has been a member of the Directors Guild of America since 1997. He is also a member of the Producer’s Guild of America and the Television Academy.
