Alycia Debnam-Carey is an Australian native who will next be seen in A Violent Separation for directors Kevin Goetz and Michael Goetz. The film tells the story of two brothers who struggle with a terrible truth behind a tragedy that could tear their family apart, and also stars Brenton Thwaites, Ben Robson, and Claire Holt. Screen Media will release the film in theaters and on demand on May 17, 2019. Additional film credits include her debut in Rachel Ward’s Martha’s New Coat, Warner Bros. and Entertainment Studios’ Friend Request, Where the Devil Hides alongside Rufus Sewell, Into the Storm with Richard Armitage, Jigsaw Girl, At the Tattooist, and The Branch. Debnam-Carey portrayed Lexa in the second and third seasons of The 100, a post-apocalyptic science fiction drama series on the CW. Additional television credits include popular Australian series McLeod’s Daughters and Dance Academy and the Australian telefilm Dream Life. She played the female lead in the 2014 AMC pilot Galyntine. Debnam-Carey was a runner-up for the 2012 Heath Ledger Scholarship, which heralds Australia’s new young talent, and was also named one of the “Actors to Watch” by the Australians in Film trade magazine. Debnam-Carey currently resides in Los Angeles.
