AMC Networks’ Anne Rice Immortal Universe invaded Comic-Con International’s Ballroom 20 today with an entertaining panel for Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, moderated by TV Guide’s Damian Holbrook.
Panelists included Mark Johnson, who oversees the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, Showrunner Esta Spalding, and cast members Alexandra Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, Ben Feldman, and Alyssa Jirrels who discussed the highly anticipated second season (returning early next year), and revealed the first Season 2 teaser in addition to some exciting casting news.
Based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches, Season 2 of Mayfair Witches continues the journey of Rowan Mayfair (Daddario) after she has unwittingly given birth to the demon Lasher (Jack Huston). She is determined to understand what he has become – human or monster – and to use him to fulfill her purpose as a healer, but when tragedy strikes, she must put aside her own desires and fight to protect her family.
