AMC Global Media announced today from the Main Stage of New York Comic Con that all seasons of the flagship series The Walking Dead will be available on AMC+ beginning January 7. The pop culture phenomenon, which launched a television franchise, joins AMC+’s The Walking Dead Universe Collection, including all six spin-off series, totaling 371 episodes, as well as exclusive specials, bonus episodes, behind-the-scenes content, Comic Con panels and more. The date was revealed by executive producer Scott M. Gimple during the New York Comic Con panel for the fourth and final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which is set to premiere in February. 

“The Walking Dead continues to be one of the most popular television franchises in the world, and we’re thrilled to add the groundbreaking, original series to our flagship streaming service,” said Courtney Thomasma, EVP Linear and Streaming Products for AMC Global Media. “In the new year, both dedicated fans and new audiences will be able to immersive themselves in this cultural phenomenon from the very beginning and be the first to experience the new stories from the TWD Universe, including the upcoming final season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – exclusively streaming on AMC+.” 

AMC+’s The Walking Dead Universe Collection includes the spin-off series Fear the Walking Dead, which ran for eight seasons; The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which brings fan-favorites Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) to battle the walker apocalypse in France and Spain; The Walking Dead: Dead City, following the unlikely alliance between Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan); The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which reunites Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira); The Walking Dead: World Beyond, following the first generation raised in the walker apocalypse; and the episodic anthology Tales of The Walking Dead. Viewers will also have access to exclusives specials, behind-the-scenes content with the series’ casts and producers, best-of collections featuring fan-favorite characters, Comic Con panel coverage as well as a curated selection of series and movies featuring TWD Universe stars, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Neighborhood Watch, Steven Yeun’s Mayhem, Jon Bernthal’s Sweet Virginia, Lennie James’ Low Winter Sun, Ride with Norman Reedus, Bottomless Brunch at Colman’s, Greg Nicotero’s Guts & Glory, Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics and more. 

The Walking Dead premiered on AMC on October 31, 2010, introducing audiences to a stark, character-driven survival drama that quickly grew from a critically acclaimed genre series into one of the most successful and influential franchises in television history. Over 11 seasons and 177 episodes, The Walking Dead became a defining series for AMC and AMC Studios, and helped reshape the television landscape by providing the enduring power of premium scripted storytelling built around passionate fan communities.
