It might seem hard to believe, but not everyone can recite National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation word for word, or grew up singing along to Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July. So when faced with our long list of Best Christmas Ever movies, two Hanukkah-celebrating AMC employees found themselves in the dark.

Christmas-curious and full of that Maccabee spirit, staffers Laura and Brianna volunteered to brush up on their knowledge by being quizzed on our collection of holiday classics. They were presented with pitches for several movies —some real, some fake—and had to guess what was an actual Christmas plot, and what was not. (Full disclosure: They weren’t completely in the dark on all Christmas movies – they had both seen Elf and Home Alone, so those films were disqualified.)
