The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards this morning, and Hell on Wheels received its first-ever series nomination in the category of Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music. The theme was composed by Gustavo Santaolalla.

The nomination is part of 34 garnered by AMC this year, with an additional 17 nominations going to Mad Men, 13 to Breaking Bad, and 3 to The Walking Dead.
