The Whisperers have a way of getting under your skin.

And so the war with Alpha and Beta requires the survivors do more than simply fight.

"They mess with their heads, they make them dig up all their fears and worst instincts" says Showrunner Angela Kang in a new behind the scenes video.

The new dynamic forces everyone to choose sides, including Gamma, Negan, Carol and more.

This makes for an explosive situation.

The "communities find themselves facing some chaos. People are turning against each other. And that has an effect on people," says Kang.
