Snack Size Summertime TV on AMC+

Summer has officially started, so it's time to ready yourself for cookouts, ocean waves, and sitting poolside with a drink in hand. But if you're still craving some TV before you head outside, watch some of these very bingeable, bite-size shows. They all have episodes that are 16 minutes or less, with some even as short as 5 minutes, giving you enough time to balance the indoors with the outdoors.
State of the Union
This Emmy-winning original comedy series offers two seasons' worth of 10- to 12-minute episodes about contemporary relationships, with each episode set immediately before a couple's weekly marital therapy session. Written by Nick Hornby and directed by Stephen Frears, the first season stars Rosamund Pike and Chris O'Dowd (who both won Emmys for their roles in this show) and the second stars Patricia Clarkson (who also won an Emmy) and Brendan Gleeson. Watch the critically acclaimed State of the Union on AMC+.
Cooper's Bar
When Kris Latimer (played by Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn, who was Emmy-nominated for this role), a TV executive and the biggest dick in Hollywood, stumbles upon the backyard tiki bar oasis of unemployed character actor Cooper Marino (Louis Mustillo), Cooper and his down-on-their-luck pals (including Brandon, a mall cop/screenwriter) pull themselves together for one last shot at getting their "big break." With only six episodes, watching the whole thing takes less than an hour. Stream Cooper's Bar on AMC+.
True Terror with George Takei
This series hosted by George Takei (who played a Japanese-American elder interned by the U.S. government during World War II in The Terror: Infamy) takes a deep dive into some of the most bizarre and sensational unsolved mysteries in world history, like the severed feet of the Salish Sea in British Columbia, the Mothman of West Virginia, and devil's footprints in Devon, England. Binge all six episodes of True Terror with George Takei on AMC+.
The Broken & the Bad
Hosted by Giancarlo Esposito, the actor who so chillingly embodied Gustavo Fring, and inspired by the Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad universe, this docuseries focuses on six real-world stories — from a Saul Goodman-like terrible lawyer, to a family man that turned to criminal activities à la Walter White — that mirror the fictional worlds of both shows. Consume each of the six episodes in tiny chunks of seven to eight minutes. Watch The Broken & the Bad on AMC+.
Food Party
Food Party is a fever dream of a pseudo-reality show that takes you on two seasons of surreal adventures through space, time, and genre. Part Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, part Barefoot Contessa, this absurdist comedy boasts 25 episodes that last anywhere from nine to 16 minutes and features writer/producer Thu Tran and a cast of extremely colorful characters. Check out Food Party on AMC+.
Slippin' Jimmy
This six-episode, animated series brings to life the backstory you knew you wanted. Before Saul Goodman, a criminal lawyer, before Jimmy McGill, a lawyer you can trust, there was: Slippin' Jimmy! He's a sly young slickster trying to make it through Catholic school without landing himself and his best pal Marco in detention again. As a bonus, Beth Grant of Mayfair Witches fame voices two characters. Watch each installment in eight to nine minutes. Stream Slippin' Jimmy on AMC+.
