Romancing the Stone
Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner star in this 1984 high-flying romance about a New York City novelist out to rescue her sister in the Columbian jungle, and the suave fortune seeker who sidetracks her. If you’re itching for more once the credits roll, the 1985 sequel The Jewel of the Nile is also available now on AMC+.
This Sci-Fi-tinged anthology series imagines a world where true love can be found through science, thanks to a test that allows anyone to learn the identity of their soulmate. But does being in real, deep love actually lead to true happiness? Each episode considers that question as it explores the potential impact that kind of knowledge has on a number of different couples. Starring Sarah Snook, Bill Skarsgard, Malin Akerman, Kingsley Ben-Adir and others, this is a provocative drama that might make you reconsider relationships. Binge the first season now on AMC+.

Can’t Buy Me Love
Some more ‘80s nostalgia is never a bad thing, and this flick really hits the spot. This 1987 classic stars Patrick Dempsey as Ronny Miller, a nerdy guy with big aspirations. He’s secretly in love with Cindy Mancini (Amanda Peterson), the prettiest, most popular girl on campus, and when Cindy finds herself in a desperate predicament, Ronny steps in to save the day.
There’s plenty more where those came from. From blockbusters like
Jerry Maguire and Days of Thunder to foreign-language independent films Blue Is the Warmest Color and Both Sides of the Blade, plus epic historical romances like Wuthering Heights and King Arthur AMC+ has you covered. Just be careful… Once you start watching you might want to cancel your Valentine’s Day plans and stay on the couch to watch them all!
