How to Watch Happy Valley on AMC+, Acorn TV, and BBC America

Happy Valley is one of the most acclaimed British series of recent years. For her performance as Sergeant Catherine Cawood, a police officer living and working in West Yorkshire's Calder Valley, Sarah Lancashire won the Best Actress prize at the 2017 BAFTA TV Awards.
Her co-stars James Norton, who plays Catherine's nemesis, the murderer and rapist Tommy Lee Royce, and Siobhan Finneran, who portrays Catherine's sister Clare, a recovering addict, have also been recognized with BAFTA nominations for their performances.
Meanwhile, the crime drama created and written by Sally Wainwright has twice been named Best Drama Series at the BAFTA TV Awards, in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
The third and final season will make its debut on Monday, May 22 on AMC+ and Acorn TV. Also on Monday, May 22, the new season will premiere at 10pm ET/PT on BBC America. New episodes will then arrive on AMC+ and Acorn TV each Monday until June 26. New episodes will premiere on BBC America at 10pm ET/PT each Monday until June 26.

"Catherine’s grandson Ryan (Rhys Connah) is now sixteen and has ideas of his own about what kind of relationship he wants to have with Tommy, the man Catherine still refuses to acknowledge as his father. Still battling the seemingly never-ending problem of drugs in the valley and those who supply them, Catherine is on the cusp of retirement. Will she solve this final case?"
Other cast members returning for the new season include Ishia Bennison as Joyce, Con O’Neill as Neil Ackroyd, George Costigan as Nevison Gallagher, Charlie Murphy as Ann Gallagher, and Susan Lynch as Alison Garrs. You can check out a trailer for season 3 of Happy Valley below.

In March, footage of Sarah Lancashire discussing the series with Camilla, Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, went viral on TikTok. Lancashire met the Queen Consort during a reception at Buckingham Palace for International Women's Day on March 8.
"Well, there's no season 4 – it's all done," Lancashire tells the Queen Consort after greeting her with a gracious curtsey. "It's the right thing to do; we just can't keep doing it. It's an emotional assault course. To be honest, it would kill me." After chatting a little more about Lancashire's future projects, Lancashire thanks the Queen Consort for her kind words about Happy Valley, saying: "I'm amazed you found time to watch." James Norton has also spoken about the impact of Happy Valley on his career. "You’ve got Sally Wainwright at her absolute best. Sarah Lancashire, standing opposite me, giving her absolute best. These absolute heroes, these Queens of our industry, are the best there are," he told GQ recently. "So it was an absolute privilege. I know actors throw those big words around a lot, but it was genuinely one of the most special moments of my career."
Meanwhile, the series' writer-creator Sally Wainwright has explained why she named the series Happy Valley after a local nickname for the Calder Valley, where she was born and raised. "I always work closely with police advisors, who are old police officers who have worked in the area, and one of them told me that is what they call the Valley because of issues with drugs," Wainwright said earlier his year. "For me, it reflected the show. It's dark, but it has also got a lot of humor."
