V/H/S/85 (Shudder Original Film)
Since 2012, the V/H/S franchise has captivated viewers with terrifying tales of found footage that wields a sinister influence over anyone who watches it. The latest installment centers on an ominous '80s mixtape that includes a deadly dream captured on film, footage of a TV crew trying to survive a natural disaster, and something very spooky hidden in the early days of VR. You'll want to find out more when it premieres Friday, October 6 on Shudder and AMC+. Buckle up, though, because it's bound to be a bumpy ride.
Creepshow Season 4 (Shudder Original Series)
Shudder's hit series based on the cult 1982 movie written by Stephen King is back for a fourth season. This time around, the sinister stories contained within the pages of the Creepshow comic book will include blood-curdling murders, spooky supernatural delusions, and all manner of super-creepy creatures. Look out, too, for an appearance from actor Tom Atkins, who starred in the original film. Night of the Hunted (Shudder Original Film)
Directed by French horror maestro Franck Khalfoun (Amityville: The Awakening, Maniac), this original film has a seriously terrifying premise. Camilla Lowe plays a seemingly ordinary woman who stops at a random gas station in the middle of the night, only to find herself targeted by a sociopathic sniper. Who wants her dead, and why? Will she even live long enough to find out? Night of the Hunted is sure to keep you on the edge of your couch when it premieres Friday, October 20 on Shudder and AMC+.
The Puppetman (Shudder Original Film)
This super-intriguing horror film centers on a convicted killer known as "the puppetman." Now on death row, he has always insisted that it was really a malevolent force controlling his body who murdered his victims. It sounds kind of far-fetched, until the puppetman's daughter notices that people around her are also starting to die in grisly circumstances. According to director Brandon Christensen, we can expect some "grotesque machinations" when The Puppetman premieres Friday, October 13 on Shudder and AMC+.
When Evil Lurks (Shudder Original Film)
This much talked about Spanish-language supernatural movie has a brilliantly chilling premise. Set in a remote village, it follows two brothers who happen on a demon-infected man who is about to give birth to evil personified. However, when they try to get rid of the man – surely the only way to end the threat – they end up helping to deliver his deadly descendant into the world. Directed by Demián Rugna (Terrified, You Don't Know Who You're Talking to), When Evil Lurks premieres Friday, October 27 on Shudder and AMC+.
Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor (Shudder Original Film)
According to director Stephen Cognetti, the latest Hell House LLC movie is neither a prequel nor a "part 4." Instead, it's an original story following a group of internet sleuths who venture to Carmichael Manor, a remote house where a family was murdered in mysterious circumstances 22 years earlier. Once they arrive, they discover that the terror hanging over the property has been present for much, much longer than they ever imagined. Join the investigation when the film gets a Devil’s Night Premiere on Monday, October 30 on Shudder and AMC+.
