Chester hasn't been able to get the evil spirits out of his mind, even while away at war. But when he's put in charge of translating for a deranged prisoner, he learns he's not the only one with the old-world superstitions on his mind.
As Chester works to crack the Japanese prisoner, the prisoner is quietly unraveling Chester. Soon, Chester is questioning his own nature as he takes steps that only evil could bring out in him. Meanwhile, back at home, Luz is making a decision that will change their lives forever.
