Bottomless Brunch at Colman's: Up Your Cocktail Game With the "Black Orchid"
During these times when days blur together, we've tried every recipe we've ever known. So there's nothing more exciting than the feeling of something new. In the latest episode of Bottomless Brunch at Colman's, the man himself, Colman Domingo, delivers. With the help of Grey Goose, Colman is showing us how to make a new cocktail called the "Black Orchid."
As always, Colman encourages you to improvise if you aren't able to find the exact ingredients.
- 2 Parts of GREY GOOSE L'Orange vodka
- 1 Part of Crème De Violette
- Dash of Blood Orange Bitters
- Simple Syrup to Taste
- Lemon to Taste
- Mint for Garnish
While the name "Black Orchid" may be intimidating for those of us without bartending backgrounds, we're happy to report that the preparation could not be simpler.
Step 1: Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Step 2: Shake vigorously.
Step 3: Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Step 4: Garnish with an edible orchid or other flower.
If the martini glass is making you feel fancy, please, by all means, take this as an opportunity to put on something nice that you haven't worn in months. But remember, this is still Bottomless Brunch at Colman's, so pants are not required.
