• ABC News reports that Better Call Saul was honored with a Critics' Choice Award nomination for Best Drama Series and Bob Odenkirk received one for Best Actor in a Drama Series. [Michael McKean also received a nod for Best Supporting Actor.]
• Entertainment Tonight shares outtakes from Season 2, noting that Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn "are scene-stealers in the blooper reel. Breaking Bad alum Jonathan Banks also gets some laughs."
• Asked by the Los Angeles Times about what Chuck eats, Michael McKean says that's "a really good question that I don’t think has ever been addressed. I think I’m going to have to get back to you on that, but I think he eats a lot of granola."
• Asked by IGN about Chuck's tape, Vince Gilligan says, "I think it's safe to say that we are always looking for ways to deepen and intensify and complicate the current situation, dramatically speaking. So yes, you can expect to see that pay dividends. I don't know if people are gonna be happy with it, but you can expect to see that."
• Peter Gould tells Digital Spy, "We're fascinated by that black-and white world that Jimmy / Saul moves into, when he becomes Gene the Cinnabon manager. I found those scenes in Omaha very provocative and interesting and I'm fascinated by the idea of exploring that some more."
• Paste considers the show one of TV's funniest dramas, noting it's "taken full advantage of Bob Odenkirk’s irresistible sliminess, no doubt cultivated during his tenure as Mr. Show’s 'Larry Kleist.'"
• Hey U Guys names Better Call Saul the best TV show spinoff, noting that Vince Gilligan, Bob Odenkirk et al "have ensured that Jimmy's journey is every bit as compelling as watching Walter White's transformation."
