Sundance 2011 – Morgan Spurlock Sells His Film and Brings His Mom to the Festival

Director Morgan Spurlock had some good news on the opening day of the Sundance Film Festival — he sold his product-placement documentary (or “docbuster,” as he refers to it), The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, to Sony Pictures Classics. The AMC News team trudged up Park Avenue through blizzardlike conditions to make it to the documentary’s world premiere, at the festival’s Library Theatre, where correspondent Jacob Soboroff talked with Spurlock. Earlier that day, the filmmaker Tweeted a photo of himself and his mom, whom he brought to the festival, so Soboroff also asked him about the photo.
