Movie Baseball Stars Compete for the MVP in an On-the-Diamond Tournament

Baseball season is heating up (at least, for some teams), and, whatever stars emerge from this year’s pennant races, they’re nothing compared to their big-screen counterparts. There’s Redford’s Roy in The Natural, a heroic aging slugger with a magical bat; Geena Davis’s Dottie in A League of Their Own, who proves that ladies can spit dip and catch fly balls with the best of them; and, of course, Charlie Sheen’s Ricky in Major League, a pitcher so erratic and talented that he earns the nickname Wild Thing because of a crazy pitch.
