Sundance has had its fair share of controversial movies over the
years, but this year’s 8: The Mormon Proposition must rank near the
top. The film explores the role of the Mormon Church (headquartered
here in Utah) in the passage of Proposition 8 in California. The legislature, for
now, has ended same-sex marraiges in the state. I sat down with the
filmmakers behind the project to talk about the movie and their personal
connection to the issue.
