AMC News Gets Ready for Sundance 2010

That’s me at the top of the mountain for last year’s Sundance Film Festival. You can’t see the madness in Park City below, but if you stay tuned to AMC News on Twitter, on our blog or on-air from Fri., Jan. 22 to Sun., Jan. 31., we’ll bring you you every detail possible. (For a recap, check out the half-hour news special on AMC on Fri., Jan. 29 at 11PM | 10C.) Here are some of the movies, actors and filmmakers you have to look forward to in our upcoming coverage:

• Interviews with actors Mark Ruffalo (Sympathy for Delicious), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Jack Goes Boating) and Diego Luna (Abel) who are all coming to the festival as first-time directors
• Interviews with the all-star casts of Howl (James Franco), The Company Men (Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones), happythankyoumoreplease (Malin Akerman, Josh Radnor, Kate Mara) and Cyrus (John C. Reilly, Marisa Tomei, Jonah Hill)
• News on documentaries such as Waiting for Superman (from An Inconvenient Truth director Davis Guggenheim), the 3D pic Cane Toads: The Conquest, and Countdown to Zero (from Quentin Tarantino’s producing partner Lawrence Bender)
• The latest on short films such as Herbert White (James Franco’s student film at NYU), Spike Jonze’s robot love story I’m Here, and two Drunk History films (starring Don Cheadle, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly)

At Sundance, there are always the unexpected movies that rise to the top. We’ll be covering those movies too so if there’s anything we’re missing, send us a tweet.
