It’s official: Video games have infiltrated the mainstream. Last week’s major action release, Gamer was not a movie based on an existing video game, but imagines a world that is, for all intents and purposes, a giant video game. The question then, is whether movies based on video games (Max Payne, Street Fighter, etc.) have become as outdated as Atari. Do you prefer movies based on games or movies where life is a video game better?
