We shot our first interview in our AMC News Tribeca Film Festival studio this morning, and it was awesome. (You can see pictures and the tweets on our Twitter page.) For the last three years I’ve been working to increase voter participation and turnout in American elections via the Why Tuesday? nonpartisan and nonprofit group, so a chance to sit down with Barry Levinson, director of Rain Man and Wag the Dog , to talk about his new documentary Poliwood was a real treat.
We spent about 30 minutes talking about everything from the intersection of Hollywood and politics, to why he wanted to make a documentary film without a thesis or after-action message in the first place. Take a look.
