The reason you don’t use zombies is that if one of them doesn’t dissolve at daybreak (despite being genetically engineered to do so), he will then build his own army. Benderspink quickly snatched up the rights to make the movie about the U.S. military’s new weapon — after all, everyone loves a zombie in uniform. Will the horror element bring audiences suffering from war fatigue to a movie about the conflict in the Middle East? Time will tell.
