A few weeks ago, children of the 80’s who’d spent most of that last two decades wondering if they’d ever see a Ghostbusters 3 were thrilled to discover that a video game sequel to Ghostbusters II was being made, with a script by Dan Ackroyd and re-uniting Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as the voices of the Ghostbusters.
It all sounded great, but games based on film properties have a spotty history, at best. Will Ghostbusters 3 be a worthy successor to the franchise?
It’s still too early to say, but early game footage of Ghostbusters 3 has leaked out, and it looks incredible.The footage consists of scene-by-scene, in-game recreations of some of Ghostbusters‘ most memorable moments, including the initial encounter with Slimer and the battle with the Stay-Puft-Marshmallow Man.
Wow. That looks just great. Of course, I’m not sure why they’re doing levels based on the original movie if this is supposed to be the Ghostbusters 3 script in game form we’ve been hearing about all these years, but either way, the “Tobin Spirit Guide Updated!” interface message alone just made this a sale for me.Read More
