Actress Michelle Yeoh has been awarded the Legion of Honor, France’s highest civilian honor. It’s a pretty prestigious award, despite what a lot of you may think given that the French gave one to Jerry Lewis in 1984. The honor is in recognition of her role in "strengthening of ties and mutual friendship between France and Malaysia," her native country.
One of Asia’s biggest stars, Yeoh is also one of the few to cross over to success in the West, with films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Sunshine and Memoirs of a Geisha. And, of course, her first success outside Asia, as the smartest and toughest of the "James Bond girls" in Tomorrow Never Dies.
Of course that’s only my opinion. Who was your favorite Bond girl? We narrowed the list down to nine by using Entertainment Weekly’s top ten (minus one we suspect they included just to start arguments). So if your favorite isn’t on the list, vote for "Other" and let us know in a comment!
