A great new teaser for the direct-to-DVD Futurama film Bender’s Big Score has hit YouTube, deftly sticking it to the brainless drones of the Fox Network who canceled the show.
I’m really looking forward to this one. While The Simpsons just goes on and on and on, progressively plummeting in quality with each passing season, Futurama was Groening and Company firing on all cylinders. It’s the very definition of a show that has been "Foxed:" a great show with a lot of promise that through incompetent promotion and constant schedule-fiddling never got the audience it deserves and finds itself canceled, only to be given second-life when the DVD sales go through the roof.
The plot of Bender’s Big Score centers on the Planet Express crew’s fight to save the world from nudist internet scammers and the secret to time travel tatttoed on Fry’s Buttocks. The DVD’s set to be released on November 27, the first of four direct-to-DVD Futurama movies. Cleverly, each movie will be exactly 88 minutes long, allowing the creators to split each film into four "episodes" and air all four movies together on television as a fifth season.Read More
