  • The Star Wars movie that Could Have Been: MTV has an interview snippet with David Cronenberg who says he was once asked about directing Star Wars Episode VI, when it was still being referred to by its original title Revenge of the Jedi.  I would pay good money to see Jar Jar’s head explode like in  Scanners.

  • Speaking of David Cronenberg, Amazon Screening Room had the opportunity to ask Cronenberg to name his favorite books and movies. [via Awards Daily]

  • Cinema Blend audio-interviews Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura from The original Star Trek series).

  • Casting is complete on the spoof movie Superhero! and includes Drake Bell, Sara Paxton, Christopher McDonald, Leslie Nielsen, Kevin Hart, Marion Ross, Ryan Hansen, Jeffrey Tambor and Brent Spiner.

  • Quentin Tarantino has passed on the chance to direct an episode of NBC’s Heroes because he has never heard of it.

  • The Hollywood Reporter reports that Giovanni Ribisi has been cast in James Cameron’s sci-fi epic Avatar.

  • Toyfare magazine lists the top 20 Star Wars products they’re most looking forward to…. [via Club Jade]

  • Heroes star Hayden Panettiere (Claire the cheerleader) reportedly went all Sylar on some journalist at the Emmys. [via SFX]

  • Entertainment Weekly lists The Top 10 Episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation.
