Warner Bros. has released their trailer for the upcoming Blade Runner: Final Cut.
Just to recap: Blade Runner: Final Cut is an extended version of Ridley Scott’s 1992 Director’s Cut, which Scott was unhappy with because he was rushed. He began working on it again in 2000, but it was scrapped again because of rights issues. The Final Cut is essentially Director’s Cut 2.0 and will be released later this year as part of the Special Edition DVD set, which also features all of the previous cuts and a mind-boggling number of extras.

If you’ve seen Blade Runner, you probably know all of the scenes in this trailer like the back of your hand, but personally? I’m amused at how “unicorn” has become shorthand for “director’s cut.”Read More
