The Walking Dead Season 10: Samantha Morton (Alpha) Previews Season 10

The Walking Dead Season 10 is nearly here and, according to Samantha Morton, who plays Alpha, it’s “absolutely mind-blowing.”

In the seventh of ten TWD X reveals, Morton shares new footage from Season 10 as well as her thoughts on the upcoming season.

Watch Samantha Morton (Alpha) Preview The Walking Dead Season 10:

The behind-the-scenes video follow last week’s release of a new teaser in which the survivors promised to silence the whisperers.

Prior to that, releases have included the first photo of Rosita’s baby, Socorra, new images of Daryl, Michonne and Carol in Season 10, the introduction of a new Whisperer, Gamma, played by Thora Birch, as well as photos of Kevin Carroll (The Leftovers, Snowfall) as Virgil.

When Episode 1 of Season 10 premieres on Sunday October 6 at 9/8c, it is Spring, a few months after the end of Season 9, when our group of survivors dared to cross into Whisperer territory during the harsh winter.

The collected communities are still dealing with the effects of Alpha’s horrific display of power, reluctantly respecting the new borderlines being imposed on them, all while organizing themselves into a militia-style fighting force, preparing for a battle that may be unavoidable.

But the Whisperers are a threat unlike any they have ever faced. Backed by a massive horde of the dead, a conflict with the Whisperers is seemingly a fight the survivors cannot win. The question of what to do, and the fear it breeds, will infect the communities and give rise to paranoia, propaganda, secret agendas, and infighting that will test them as both individuals and as a society.

The very idea of whether civilization can survive in a world filled with the dead hangs in the balance.
