Pollyanna McIntosh began her career in British theater and went on to appear in several television series, including her acclaimed role as Angel in Sundance TV’s Hap & Leonard, opposite James Purefoy, Michael Kenneth Williams, Christina Hendricks and Jimmi Simpson.
Her diverse film roles include her multi-award-winning title role in The Woman; her comedy turns in Sex and Death 101, with Winona Ryder; the John Landis comedy Burke & Hare; the Will Ferrell starrer Land of the Lost; and opposite James McAvoy in Filth. She has given leading performances in award-winning European horror films Love Eternal, The Blood Lands and Let Us Prey. Most recently, she played three characters in one as Bobby in the American anthology Tales of Halloween and will next be seen as motorcycle gang leader Trigga in James Franco’s new film, Blood on Wheels.
As a director, McIntosh has created theater in London and Los Angeles, and will direct her first feature film this December, which she also wrote.
