The BBC reported today that Patrick McGoohan, co-creator and star of The Prisoner 1960s classic TV series, died on Tuesday in Los Angeles after a short illness. He was 80.
McGoohan’s long and distinguished career began more than five decades ago and includes credits in acting, directing and producing. He rose to fame in British television starring in the 1960s television series Danger Man (which aired in the U.S. as Secret Agent) then followed it up with The Prisoner and Rafferty.
