David Alpert – Partner/CEO of Skybound Entertainment/Executive Producer
David Alpert is CEO of Skybound Entertainment, which he co-founded alongside longtime collaborator Robert Kirkman. It was their vision to build Skybound, a multi-platform content company, to produce creatively driven content in all genres and formats with passionate creators at the helm. As CEO, Alpert oversees operations, creative development and production and strategic business initiatives for the company.
Alpert is a prolific producer, with television credits including The Walking Dead and its companion series, Fear the Walking Dead, as well as Outcast, Five Year and Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. His film credits include producing the upcoming adaptation of the long-running Robert Kirkman comic, Invincible, which is set to be written, directed and produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for Universal Pictures. Other producing credits include AIR, starring Norman Reedus and Djimon Hounsou, the Jessie Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart film American Ultra, and the George Lopez film Spare Parts.
Moving across platforms, Alpert executive produced Samsung Milk VR’s Gone, the first-ever narrative virtual reality series. He also produces the VR series Delusion: Lies Within, the first project out of Skybound’s partnership with immersive theatrical company Delusion.
Alpert is an honors graduate of Harvard University and New York University Law.
