Bryan and Sean Furst – Executive Producers

  • As Co-Presidents of TV and Film at Skybound Entertainment, Sean and Bryan have leveraged the company’s vast library of IP to build a robust slate of film and television projects. Sean and Bryan collaborate with the company’s creators to extend their properties into content. They also manage Skybound’s first-look deal and relationship with Universal Pictures for film and Amazon for television. The brother duo serves as executive producers on the upcoming feature film adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s second-longest-running comic book series Invincible, which is set to be written, directed and produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg for Universal Pictures.

Prior to their tenure at Skybound, the brothers were principals behind the film and TV production banner Furst Films. At Furst Films, they produced multiple acclaimed feature films, including The Matador, a comedic thriller that earned Pierce Brosnan a Golden Globe® nomination for Best Actor, and Lionsgate vampire film Daybreakers, starring Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe. Additional films produced under Furst Films include the Sony Pictures Classics release Owning Mahowny, starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Toronto Film Festival selection The Girl in the Park, with Sigourney Weaver and Kate Bosworth.

The Fursts previously led production at Overture Films, where they acquired and oversaw films such as The Visitor, Righteous Kill, Traitor, The Crazies, Law Abiding Citizen and The Cooler, for which Alec Baldwin received an Oscar® nomination for Best Supporting Actor. They currently serve as producers behind the Showtime series Dice, a comedy starring Andrew Dice Clay, which they sold straight-to-series under their company’s deal at 20th Century Fox Television. They also executive produced the CW network’s 2014 sci-fi series Star-Crossed.
