What started off as an honest search for God became a bloody mess that no one could predict. Not only is Jesse and Cassidy‘s friendship completely fractured, but Tulip is dead. But all hope isn’t lost.
“On this show, we all know that dead can mean many different things,” notes executive producer Sam Catlin. That’s exactly what Jesse is hoping as he drives her lifeless body straight to Angelville — a dark place he hasn’t been back to since he was a child and the one place he’s never wanted to return.
Meanwhile, Eugene‘s life is taking a different path. As Jesse rides straight into his own version of Hell, Eugene is back to the real world. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Eugene in some ways holds Jesse responsible,” explains Ian Colletti.
But Eugene is just one of Jesse’s many problems beyond the death of Tulip. Back in Hell, the Saint of Killers has returned to his cell, but “he has plans way beyond that,” warns Graham McTavish. And of course, there’s the Grail, who Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg promise will follow Jesse into future seasons.
