An old-school journalist, a lover of words and smoke-filled taverns, she’s trying to hang on while the world changes around her. Connie has arrived at Lodge 49 thanks to her third husband, Scott Miller.

Linda Emond has worked with directors Mike Nichols, Ang Lee, Terrence Malick, Spike Lee, Steven Soderbergh, Sam Mendes, James Schamus, Jason Bateman, Nora Ephron, Julie Taymor, John Turturro, Kimberly Peirce, Niki Caro, Bob Balaban, Ed Harris, and Hiro Murai. Recent films include Gemini Man, Richard Says Goodbye, and The Big Sick. Other film work includes Song to Song, Three Generations, Indignation, The Land, The Family Fang, Jenny’s Wedding, Oldboy, Julie & Julia, Stop-Loss, Across the Universe, North Country, and City by the Sea. Episodic television includes The Knick, The Good Wife, Madam Secretary, The Blacklist, all four Law & Order series, and The Sopranos. Film work for television includes Georgia O’Keeffe, A Dog Named Christmas, and American Experience: John & Abigail Adams. On stage, she most recently appeared in The Master Builder at The Old Vic in London, opposite Ralph Fiennes. Her most recent run on Broadway was as Fräulein Schneider in Cabaret. Prior to that she appeared in Death of a Salesman (opposite Philip Seymour Hoffman and Andrew Garfield, directed by Mike Nichols), Life x 3 and 1776. Off-Broadway, her work in Tony Kushner’s Homebody/Kabul spanned five years and three productions. The part of Empty in his play The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures was written for her. Linda has been nominated for three Tony Awards and received an Obie Award, the Lucille Lortel Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, a Backstage West Garland Award, two Chicago Jeff Awards, and nominations for the Drama Desk, Drama League, LA Drama Critics and LA Ovation Awards.
