  • Dud’s twin sister — smart, fiercely independent, deeply cynical, and searching for a way to escape her debt while working at a nightmare chain restaurant.

  • Sonya Cassidy most recently starred as a lead in the second season of Channel 4 and AMC’s BAFTA award-nominated sci-fi series Humans. Her big break came in 2012 when Sonya starred as ‘Clara’ in the BBC drama The Paradise, created by Bill Gallagher. In the same year, she was also cast as ‘Celine Ashworth’ in the Royal Television Society award-winning drama Vera alongside Brenda Blethyn.

    Additional television credits include Ripper Street, The Rebel, Olympus, Endeavour, Midsomer Murders, The Tudors, and Lewis.

    In film, Sonya was featured in the 2015 crime thriller Survivor opposite Pierce Brosnan and James D’Arcy; Vadim Jean’s comedy Breaking the Bank alongside Kelsey Grammer and Tamsin Greig; and in the 2013 biographical drama The Fifth Estate, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Alicia Vikander.

    Sonya has also appeared in prominent roles on the stage in London, beginning her theatrical career in the lead role of The Old Vic’s 2009 production of Inherit the Wind. She has also performed alongside Charlie Cox in Dennis Kelly’s The Prince of Homburg at the Donmar Warehouse, and in the Theatre Royal Haymarket’s production of The Lion in Winter.

    She will next be seen in BBC One’s highly anticipated adaptation of Wilkie Collins’ classic gothic novel The Woman in White alongside Jessie Buckley and Dougray Scott.
