Jonathan Brackley & Sam Vincent (Writers)
Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent met at school in London in 1990, where they became friends, sharing a love of television, movies and great stories in general.
They came to writing separately, with feature screenplays, but teamed up to write sketches for British TV comedies. This led into television drama, and in 2009, their first drama credit on the BBC’s Hotel Babylon. In 2010, they joined the ninth series of the BBC’s acclaimed hit spy drama Spooks (MI-5), and were appointed head writers. They continued in this capacity for the BAFTA-nominated tenth and final run. In May 2015, their first film Spooks: The Greater Good – a big screen adaptation of the series, starring Kit Harington - was released worldwide.
The first season of Humans became the biggest drama launch ever for Channel 4 in the UK and earned widespread awards recognition, including a BAFTA nomination for Best Drama Series. Vincent and Brackley were awarded Best British TV Drama Writing for their work on Humans at the British Screenwriters’ Awards in 2015.
