Gordon and Donna's introverted younger daughter Haley Clark comes into her own as she joins the family business, challenging her parents' equilibrium in the process.
Susanna Skaggs is new to film and television, but brings her own special spirit to her debut role as Haley in AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire. Acting alongside stars Lee Pace, Scoot McNairy, Mackenzie Davis and Kerry Bishé, Susanna offers the perfect angsty teenager as foil to the mix. Her work on the local stage at Raleigh’s Burning Coal Theatre Company and Moonlight Stage Company has prepared Susanna well for moving to television and film. Learning under her coaches Estes Tarver and Jeris Donavan has helped her craft skills for big, emotional stage work as well as the subtle work of the small screen. Studying under such diverse teachers has allowed Susanna to hone skills for works as important as David Edgar’s Written on the Heart and as uplifting as improv with the Estessentials, a Raleigh teen improv troupe that performs all over the Southeast. Susanna’s first love is acting, but she is also a skilled guitarist and enjoys taking voice lessons, playing the ukulele, and hanging out with her family and friends. Susanna is a high school student at Apex High School, and lives with her mom, dad and two brothers in Cary, North Carolina.
