Collider Debuts History of Horror Trailer; Eli Roth Speaks With IGN

This week, Collider debuts the trailer for AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of Horror, while Eli Roth speaks with IGN about the show. Plus, Entertainment Weekly reports that an episode will be screened at the Beyond Fest genre film festival ahead of the Oct. 14 premiere. Read on for more:

Collider spotlights the trailer for AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of Horror, noting that each episode will gather “iconic horror filmmakers, actors, writers, make-up wizards, and monster maestros to discuss the past, present, and future of film’s most bloodcurdling genre.”

IGN checks out the key art for Eli Roth’s History of Horror (which starts airing Oct. 14) and quotes Roth saying, “I had this idea to do a docu-series on the history of horror, like a Ken Burns’ Baseball kind of thing. Nobody has catalogued the genre in any sort of way.”

Entertainment Weekly reports that Eli Roth will present an episode of AMC Visionaries: Eli Roth’s History of Horror at Los Angeles’ Beyond Fest next month.

• Eli Roth, discussing the show, tells Den of Geek, “There are so many great movies out there that you might not know about, and even if they were your favorite films, you might hear the filmmaker put a particular spin on it that makes you want to go back and rewatch them.”

SeenIt reports that Eli Roth’s History of Horror will start airing in the U.K. on Nov. 14.
