For people sick of the status quo, look no further.
The women of AMC’s new series Dietland are taking the law into their own hands.
In a new video, the cast and creators discuss why the show is a “real big middle finger” to what’s going on in the world.
“Most stories about fat people are a transformation story where they end up thin,” says Joy Nash, who plays the show’s main character, Plum Kettle.
Dietland, on the other hand, “is a different story,” she says.
“There’s this other group of angry women… they’ve decided to take justice into their own hands,” says Executive Producer Marti Noxon.
For Plum, who the world doesn’t value, the idea of killing sexual predators strikes a chord.
“Plum’s really taking to the idea that women are… seeing justice served to people who deserve it,” says Julianna Margulies.

Dietland premieres with back-to-back episode Monday, June 4 at 9/8c on AMC.
