Last night, the International Press Academy announced their winners for the 18th Annual Satellite Awards and Breaking Bad has been honored with three wins: Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series and Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television.
In this year’s Best Drama Series category, Breaking Bad faced formidable competition which included Showtime’s Masters of Sex, Sundance Channel’s Rectify, Netflix’s House of Cards, FX’s The Americans and AMC’s own Mad Men. For the Best Actor award, Bryan Cranston beat out The Newsroom‘s Jeff Daniels, House of Card‘s Kevin Spacey, Rectify‘s Aden Young, Masters of Sex‘s Michael Sheen and Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm. Aaron Paul bested Game of Thrones‘ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Sons of Anarchy‘s Jimmy Smits, Ray Donovan‘s Jon Voight and two other AMC nominees, Mad Men‘s James Wolk and The Killing‘s Peter Sarsgaard for the Best Supporting Actor win.
