Walter Housman (Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator)

  • Walter Housman has been coaching football since 1988. A New Hampshire native, he attended college at the University of Iowa and had a brief stint as a player in both the National and Arena Football leagues. In 2001 Housman, or "Hous" as players and teammates commonly know him, returned to the Arena League as an assistant coach for the Chicago Rush. After Bob McMillan retired from playing in 2007, Housman was reunited with his old friend on the coaching staff for the Rush. Hous' fiery attitude and passion for the game has led to multiple record setting defenses in his time as a coach in the Arena League. In the offseason Coach Hous, 52, lives happily at home in New Hampshire with his mother and beloved cat.
