Richard Donner Reveals the Rare Gift He Got for Directing Superman

The Superman: The Movie director talks about a special meeting he had with the creators of the Man of Steel. On the opening night of the movie, Donner says he was invited to a private room where he met the president of Warner Brothers, the chairman of the board, and "two older gents," who were introduced as Siegel and Shuster.
