Better Call Saul Receives 10 Emmy Nominations, Including Outstanding Drama

Better Call Saul was recognized with 10 Emmy nominations Thursday, including its third consecutive nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.

The cast also received recognition, with Bob Odenkirk (Jimmy McGill) competing for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama and Jonathan Banks (Mike Ehrmantraut) for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama.

Behind the scenes, the show was nominated in a range of categories, including Directing (Vince Gilligan, "Witness"), Writing (Gordon Smith, "Chicanery"), Editing (Skip Macdonald, "Chicanery" and Kelley Dixon & Skip Madconald, "Witness"), Sound Mixing ("Witness"), and Music Supervision ("Sunk Costs"). The show was also recognized nominated in the Outstanding Shortform Comedy or Drama category for the Los Pollos Hermanos Employee Training video series starring Giancarlo Esposito.

Better Call Saul‘s nominations are among AMC's total of 13 nominations that also include those for Fear the Walking Dead: Passage and The Walking Dead. See a full list of all of AMC’s nominations here.

Winners will be announced on Sunday, September 17.
