AMC Networks Earns 12 Emmy Nominations, Including Seven for Better Call Saul

Better Call Saul continued its perfect streak at the Emmys, earning its sixth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Drama Series on Tuesday. The series also received six other nominations, including recognition in the acting categories, with both Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn being nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, respectively.
Better Call Saul will also compete for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (Thomas Schnauz, “Plan And Execution”), Outstanding Sound Editing and Outstanding Sound Mixing (“Carrot and Stick”) and Outstanding Music Supervision (“Black and Blue”).
Including Saul’s seven nods, AMC Networks earned a total of 12 nominations on Tuesday. Both Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for the final season of BBC America’s Killing Eve, and the stars of SundanceTV’s State of the Union were both recognized as Brendon Gleeson and Patricia Clarkson will compete for Outstanding Actor in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series and Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series, respectively.
Additionally, Seehorn, who earned her first Emmy nod for her role as Kim Wexler on Better Call Saul, received additional kudos, as she was also nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for her work on Cooper’s Bar.
The 74th Annual Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, September 12.
