AMC Receives Ten Nominations for Golden Globes, SAG, PGA and NAACP Image Awards

Nominations for four major television awards have been announced, and AMC’s original programming was recognized with ten nominations across several categories. This is in addition to AMC’s six recent Writers Guild of America nominations.

Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm and Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk are in the mix for a Best Drama Actor Golden Globe. The two are both also in contention for a Best Actor Screen Actors Guild award.

Mad Men (Matthew Weiner, Scott Hornbacher, Janet Leahy, Semi Chellas, Erin Levy, Jon Hamm, Blake McCormick, Tom Smuts) and Better Call Saul (Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould, Melissa Bernstein, Mark Johnson, Stewart A. Lyons, Thomas Schnauz, Gennifer Hutchison, Nina Jack, Diane Mercer, Bob Odenkirk) will meet again, both with nominations for The Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama from the Producers Guild of America.

The Screen Actors Guild honored AMC with two nominations: one Best Ensemble nomination for the Mad Men cast and one for The Walking Dead in the category of Outstanding Stunt Ensemble in a Drama or Comedy Series.

AMC also received recognition from the NAACP Image Awards with an Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series nomination for The Walking Dead‘s Danai Gurira and an Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series nod for TURN: Washington’s Spies writer LaToya Morgan for Episode 203, “False Flag.”

The winners will be announced in January and February of 2016.
