Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead Each Receive Two Golden Reel Award Nominations

The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) have announced their nominees for TWD-BB-Rick-Walt-325 the 61st Annual Golden Reel Awards, and both Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead have been honored with nods in the Best Sound Editing in Television — Short Form: Sound Effects & Foley and Short Form: Dialogue & ADR categories.

In the Sound Effects & Foley category, Breaking Bad‘s Supervising Sound Editor, Nick Forshager, will join The Walking Dead‘s Jerry Ross (Supervising Sound Editor) in competing against the sound editors behind HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones, Showtime’s The Borgias and Homeland, ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and History Channel’s Vikings.

In the Dialogue & ADR category, Breaking Bad‘s Supervising ADR Editor, Nick Forshager, and Supervising Dialogue Editor, Kathryn Madsen, share the category with The Walking Dead‘s Lou Thomas (Supervising Dialogue & ADR Editor) and the sound editors behind HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, The Newsroom, Family Tree and Game of Thrones, FX’s American Horror Story: Coven and Showtime’s House of Lies.

Winners will be announced Sun., Feb. 16 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites in Los Angeles.
