AMC Garners Two DGA Nominations, for Mad Men and The Walking Dead

The Directors Guild of America announced nominations for the DGA Awards this afternoon for Outstanding Directorial Achievements in Television and Commercials, and directors from two AMC shows picked up nods for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Dramatic Series. Mad Men‘s Jennifer Getzinger was nominated for season 4, episode 7, “The Suitcase,” and Frank Darabont of The Walking Dead was recognized for the pilot episode, “Days Gone Bye.” This is the first DGA nomination for The Walking Dead and the seventh nomination for Mad Men, which has taken home the award twice already.
