Costner? Redford? Geena Davis? Who’s the MVP of Baseball Stars?

It’s World Series time again, and all eyes are on the San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers. But who’s better than Cliff Lee, Tim Lincecum, Josh Hamilton, and Matt Cain put together? Movie stars like Kevin Costner, Robert Redford, and Geena Davis. In a tournament of baseball legends, Costner’s at a distinct advantage, with both catcher Crash Davis of Bull Durham and pitcher Billy Chapel of For Love of the Game competing for this championship. But Davis and Chapel have plenty of competition to deal with. They don’t call Roy Hobbs (Redford) the Natural for nothing, and with or without his handy bat, the Wonderboy, anything is possible. While Hobbs excels at the plate, “Wild Thing” Charlie Sheen (Major League) is a menacing presence perched on the mound. Watch out for him: he’s a former jailbird with an attitude as nasty as his fastball. And of course don’t forget Geena Davis (A League of Their Own), who can teach you a thing or two about baseball and manicures at the same time. Hit the dugout — it’s time to decide who’s champ. Batter, up!
