• Daniel Craig may take over for Robert Downey Jr. in Cowboys and Aliens, the comic book adaptation from director Jon Favreau. Just call him “pardner.” James Pardner. 

• Mark Wahlberg is developing a sequel to Four Brothers titled, uh, Five Brothers. Does anyone besides Wahlberg, and possibly Tyrese, want this? Shouldn’t Andre 3000 be making another OutKast album instead of another Mark Wahlberg movie?

• Rumor has it Marc Webb, the director of (500) Days of Summer, could tackle the Spider-Man reboot for Sony. Which means the potential for Peter Parker to bound down the New York City streets to the tune of a Hall and Oates classic just increased exponentially.

• The first trailer for Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer has been released. Is it OK to say this looks pretty great?

• Netflix is bringing its movie streaming service to the Nintendo Wii gaming system. You know, pretty soon there will be one all-powerful device in your living room that will deliver round-the-clock on-demand entertainment. And that is when the machines will officially take over.
