Among the 2010 nominations from the Costume Designers Guild (CDG) were nods for Bruno, Up in the Air and Precious. This diverse trio of movies are among the five competing for Excellence in Contemporary Film; the guild also recognizes other genres including period and fantasy. (Not surprisingly, Avatar is one of the nominees in the latter category.) Among TV nominees, Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant, who took home the prize last year, finds herself nominated again in the category of Period/Fantasy TV series. The awards ceremony will take place on Thu., Feb. 25.
