The Newsdesk 10.22.09 – Theron Could Go Mad; First A-Team Set Footage

• Technicolor is gaining traction on a 3D-on-film solution that will allow for more 3D movies to hit theaters. So now they can print 3-D on normal film? This craze is never going to end.

• The first onset footage from The A-Team remake premiered on Entertainment Tonight. Sharlto Copley as “Howling Mad” Murdock and Rampage Jackson’s B.A. Baracus are spot-on. Meanwhile, even hardcore A-Team fans will be hard-pressed to remember Jessica Biel’s character from the show.

• Jackie Chan is planning a new kung-fu project titled Shaolin Temple. Anything that’ll keep him from making another Karate Kid movie.

• The new trailer for the upcoming medieval horror flick Season of the Witch looks insane and features Nicolas Cage wearing a terrible hairpiece. So, basically, it’s like every Nic Cage movie these days.

• Lucasfilm reps debunked the rumor that a new 3D Star Wars trilogy is in the works. Word had it Lucas was going to pass the directing reigns on to Steven Spielberg and Francis Ford Coppola. Yeah, that is definitely too good to be true.

• Charlize Theron might join the cast of Mad Max 4. When will this get made? Is Mel Gibson in it? Is it still going to be animated? Is Max still mad?
